Paying homage to the big yaller truck
Crazed Ramblings from my Mind:
Beautiful picture my sister, Rachel, took of a church in Germany.
Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday to me! Today is my birthday, happy birthday to me. Yes, I am finally 23 years old. A
little older, a little stranger, and sadly, none the wiser. If anyone would care to wish me a happy birthday feel free to
pen some remarks into that little old guestbook down there at the bottom of the page. I'm going to spend most of the day
studying and trying to write a speech. Oh! And Matt's taking me out for Chinese food tonite as my birthday present. I wonder
if they serve Sesame Chicken Birthday Cake? Spread on some chocolate icing, now that would be good.
I know cops frown on people who drive twenty miles an hour over the speed limit. So why not the people who drive twenty under
the limit? Like the wacko I got behind today while running errands. Just putting along, twenty-five miles per hour in a forty
five zone while two other lanes of traffic whizzed by and around her. In my opinion, slow drivers are more likely to be the cause of
accidents that faster ones. You expect someone to be going five or ten miles per hour over the speed limit, but you never
expect someone would putter along at speeds far below the limit. And if you're not paying attention--BAM!--right into the back
of their Buick LaSabre. Then you're the one charged with breaking the law, even though if they had actually used the accelerator
the whole accident may never have happened. Knock on wood, this had never happened to me but I'm sure it's happened to some
poor Joe out there. Bottom line, please don't drive like a half blind great granny after an all nite, all-you-can-eat
jagerschnitzel feast.
I go to pick my best friend up from the airport in two days. I'm so excited. Her visit is a combination birthday gift to
me and a graduation gift to her from me and Matt. She graduated from Averett University with a Bachelors earlier this year.
We haven't yet planned all that we're going to do, but I'm sure it will involve watching a lot of Mystery Science Theater 3000,
touring Chicago and laughing our heads off. This will definately be a week to remember.
Well, since I waited till the last minute to update this, and since also I have an 8am class and it's already 11:30 I'm going
to cheat a bit and just list some links that I think are interesting. Never fear, the next Huluhae will be back to it's regular
glory.
- Ray's List of Weird Foods. Actually, I would try most of these. My general
philosophy is, if it hasn't killed the natives,
why should I worry?
- Stupid People
- I typed "cow brains" into Google and it came back with this interesting, medically linked result. Kosher cow brains
helped scientists perfect computerized tomography, better know as a CT Scan.
Links!
This is my best friend, Rachel's, permanent site. Be sure to sign her
guestbook!
Daily Dirt, one of my favorite websites.
Website I came across today. Seems interesting.
Interesting alternate news site. Don't get all your news from Fox.
Satellite News, a great Mystery Science Theater Site.
